Thread: How the hell do you get the injectors out

^^^ i know its ways away but ill bring some injectors to the meet with my digital...

Well make sure you bring injs in a rail.

i want to see the technique to do this fast & easy...

The last time I did this, I watched 2 Sunday NFL football games with the rail in my lap. I got the last injector out during the Sunday Nite game. So... Im definitely interested too.

Like I said, when you see how easy it is you will laugh and maybe cry.

In the last 15 years I have come up with many a diffrent way to take them out some of them being the same that you guys have tried.

I even had a tool made to take them out which was a vis grip with welded on studs that would fit into the holes in the injs. This was done so you could use the pliers to apply preasure to hold the inj and the studs where there so that the vis grip did not slip off. This worked great till I lost it, I had a large flat head screw driver and wala. I tried this technique and just stumbled upon it.

Why isnt this a how-to, i was disappointed after searching for 20 minutes. This thread should be stickied as soon as Dre gets his sweet set up on here

Get someone here in Miami to donate their time to come over with a Camera and I will do a stick on this.

so just a camera fuel injectors(in the fuel rail) and a big flat head

trust me i wont forget

ok, so i got curious as to how it was so easy with a flathead screw driver and i took some pics along that way. when the 1st one literaly pop out i was shocked as hell...

first off tools/items i used
Visegrips
RWD DET Fuel rail, so i can get my injectors out
and that amazing flat head


2nd, i used the vise grips to crack loose the screws of the injector caps

as u can see i almost took out all the injectors beause it was so easy before i took some pics


ok guys this is no way a write up i just got curious and put together what i thought would be done, if this is how its done im sure Miko will say so
