Thread: Anyone use meguiars Scratch X

i have to say i love meguiars scratch X, my paint being over 15 years old was getting weather and fading and i purchased some scratch X from meguiars Scratch X and it really revived my paint and made it shine in places that it was before starting to get weathered and it REALLY does remove the scratches or at least make them less noticable thats for sure.. i recomend it to anyone who is looking to revive their old paint esp on classics..

i also did all the work on my car with the product by hand, and i got really great results i really wish i could have used the product with a hand buffer.

ya, their plastic headlight stuff works wonders too. my g/f even noticed it, so you know it makes a difference!

I've heard good things about Meguiars, but haven't had a car worth buying it for yet. The NX is just a beater for now, but the NEW NX should get all the TLC it deserves. New paint, and regular cleanings/waxings. Can't wait to try this stuff out!

yea it really does work great, my girlfriend bought a nissan sentra and the rear trunk had alot of scratches and was somewhat fading and i applied the scratch X and i literally couldnt believe how it brought back the color of the paint and took the scratches down to where you couldnt even see.

Meguiars stuff is always the best. I use their PlastiX, Leather wipes, Car soap, and waxes.

yea well they are pretty expendsive too lol, i got that scratch x for like 2.50? becuase the store made a mistake and put the wrong price on it, and my gf bitched about it so they sold it to us for the price, i wanted to see if it was worth 10.00 if so i would buy it again and it definitly was worth it.

well, best over the counter stuff. can't really compete with Zaino but I do agree that its the best you can get from Vato Zone, Oreilly's, Pep Boyeez.

I didn't get the results I wanted with the scratch X. I used it on my 07 Tacoma and it made a bit of a difference but after a wash a few days after the scratch came back looking the same. It wasn't a big deep scratch either.
