Got it installed and kinda setup. I still might need some help on some figures.

So far I have these numbers about a 1999 Nissan Sentra SE-L...

Curb Weight: 2617lbs, with me and other junk in the car about 2850lbs
Drive Terrain Loss: 15% (Only needed to out put BHP numbers
Coefficient Drag (CD): 0.33
Frontal Area (A): 25.197 (Working on getting this number correctly.)
CDA (CD x A = CDA): 8.31

Ways to Calculate Frontal Area

L x W = A
One way to calculate Frontal area is to multiply: Length x Width = Area. This is not exactly accurate, but will give some sort of an estimate.

For B14's these numbers should stay the same as the 99 SE-L's
Width: 66.6" - 5.55'
Hight: 54.5" - 4.54'

5.55 x 4.54 = 25.197 Frontal Area

Front Picture and Grid
Second way is to take a picture of the front of the car and putting pixels over it and then counting them up...

Slow Down Time
Third way to calculate the CDA is speed up to 60MPH then slow down to 50MPH and see how many seconds it takes to slow down.

For every second there is a specified number (given in the Beltronics Book). Take that second number and multiply it by the car's weight.

This will give you the CDA.

Now Beltronics did provide some cars and their numbers like a Honda Civic (who knows what year), is .34 CD x 21.0 sq. ft. = 7.1 CDA

So the frontal area of 25.19 seems a little high for our B14's. I will try the declaration method and will see how that works

the next thing you should do is try it with out configuring anything.... get some figures... then configure everything and get some more figures... by comparing that you'll get an idea of how accurate it is with out configuration and also if your numbers you're getting are in the "real" margin... nice to see someone take this so seriously

Anyway onto the testing of the device. I will eventually post this to product review section

It took me a little bit to setup the device, get the numbers kinda accurate. I only had a chance to do two runs. To do a 0-60 and 1/4 mile run you need to be dead stopped and just gun the car.

Well it's hard to find a place to do that. Highway is the safest way to go, but you need to make sure the highway ramp is empty, to make sure your dead stopped.

Here are my numbers:
Temperatures: 73* F
0-60: 7.60 Seconds
1/4: Around 17 seconds
BHP: 160 and 170
ScanGauge Read about the same numbers (which I'm pretty impressed with).

Now the car has not been feeling too fast after the Pulley install last week, I did reset the ECU. Last time I had installed the AEM CAI and BPi Flow stack, and the car wasn't feeling so fast until I did a 300 mile trip, then it felt amazing.

So this weekend I will be taking two 300 mile trips, so after that hopefully the car will pick up

Mods at the time of testing: AEM CAI with BPi Flow Stack, 91 Intake Cam, UR Pulleys 2-Set, SSAC Header and 2.5" DP, 2.5" Resonator 6" Can, 2.37" Res-back to an 2002 Altima Muffler, Indexed Bosch Platinum +2 Spark Plugs.

More comprehensive mod list can be found here

my best numbers so far are:

0-60: 7.75 Seconds
1/4: Around 15.8 seconds
BHP: 160

in comparisson to yours.. im only slightly dissapointed by your 1/4m but i don't think you revved it up too much to start with...

For a stock B13 SE-R yours should be around 7.5 or lower.

My 1/4 mile time is not all that accurate because I slowed down after 65 mph (Speed limit). But I think it still kept on counting

I'll try it another day, I really only care about 0-60 numbers

I am gonna get one of these ,too.
I was wondering if you can save the figures somehow,so I can move it from vehicle to vehicle....any input Vadim?

I want to compare my VE nx to my NA z32

If you do decide to buy, you can get them on eBay for about half less then anywhere else: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=VECTOR+FX2&category0=

As for comparisons, there are two ways to compare the numbers.

A: It stores 10 timed runs. So you can write down the information etc. I am not 100% sure it keeps the information after you have turned off the power source.

B: 5 Minute Run. You can turn on a 5 minute run, this will delete any stored 10 runs though (for space). But to use this you need a Cable from Device to Computer/Palm

I'm wanting to get this cable, because I think it will spit out the Maps and peaks etc.

Now it does have bunch of things for monitoring the Gforces, but I could careless about those, I only want the 0-60, 1/4, and Horse Power. Too bad the device is not orientated around those numbers, so you have to deal with the other features.

Now I don't see anything wrong with picking the device up and putting it in another car, you will need to either reset some features to defaults or calculate them out, kinda like I did in earlier posts

^^ Haha saw them on ebay yeah...great deal!
I didnt mean storing the performance figures,I can write those down.
I meant to store the settings and values that are calculated in the unit so you dont have to reenter the info every time you go to a different car....like presets...car1 car2 etc.
know what I mean?

Ohhh gotcha!

Unfortunately no

But it is easy enough to change the information though.

it does keep the info of the 10 best runs if you power it off or take it out of the car....

bout my car making 7.5 0-60... the gsr2000 here made 7.8 stockie... considering you guys in the us always make better times (don't ask me why but it happens) im comfortable with my 7.75
