w10 runing n/a
SR20 guys I need help on this topic.

Can a W10 avenir SR20DET motor be ran as like a N/A motor? meaning If i swap a w10 in my B14 with no turbo to it just b14 ecu, b14 injects, and maf will it run decent? Ive tried searching but wasnt able to find any real answers on this. My motor in my b14 went and i dont really want to buy a stock de or rebuild it. Any answers and advice will be greatly appreciate.

yes. As long as you are running the correct injectors/maf for the ecu it will run correctly. If you want real time information I believe ninety nine sel ran his avenir like that in his g20. He just said it was somewhat sluggish because of the lower compression.

Yep, just bump the timing up to 19* or so and shouldn't feel too bad.

Maybe I have it wrong, but you can probably throw a lot of mechanical timing advance at it. It will still be down on power though.

Alright so let say i use b14 ecu, injects, and maf sen and i swap that on a w10 and pull the turbo off, and run my b14 header on it. it will run correct? but sluggish due the ecu is tune for sr20de piston and not the w10 pistons.

Correct, I'm sure you could even see gains going higher than 19*.

19* degrees would be on the safe side. not looking for power just a runing car. anyone else ever try this other then justin?

I'm sure there have been quite a few people who have done it. Even if not, it's simple logic. It WILL run fine, stop worrying.

It would run totally fine. But the lower compression will mean it will be noticeably slower then stock since it is meant to be turbocharged.

If you run a DET ecu it will run weird because of the mapping.
