As long as I can remember, track day has always been on a Friday. You can do it!

Don't people cut classes anymore? Think of it as an early (or late) spring break. And, who wouldn't want to come south in March to get away from the snow and cold that still hangs on in the north?

AND we will be calling it the SR20 National Convention, because that's what it really is. No forum, no dash, just SR20.

When I pull this off I will run for president in 2012.

Joe, I will be there. Repeat...I will be there.

My financial situation is about to improve rather dramatically, my Classic is currently being resurrected, probation is about to come to an end, and I am DAMN SURE going to the convention in GA.

Also, I will be able to "upfront" whatever funds are necessary on my part.

And BRAVO on the "SR20 National Convention."

Just checking into the thread because Dad said I should post. I've been helping around the house planning how things look and such and I'm really excited for this convention.
(So is he) lol.

I still wish I could make it to Vegas this year, but its the Tennessee vs Georgia game, so that isn't happening.

Speaking of tracks...
Check out what I found. It's DIRETLY ACROSS THE RIVER FROM DOWNTOWN SAVANNAH and a Westin hotel within walking distance!!

I was looking for info on the happenings at this years Concours De Elegance here on Hilton Head. http://www.hhiconcours.com/index.php?page=events
And noticed that they switched the venue from Roebling Road to a track on Hutchinson Island, GA. I said WTF!! There's a track there??? I had no idea.

Here is a little blurb about it: http://www.autoracing1.com/CassioC/2004/0902Savannah.asp

I checked it out on Google earth looks like you can drive right onto it because it's closed for now... Look like I'll have to do some re-con work.

I still think we should keep the track day at Roebling, but this might be worth looking into if it's cheaper... You also can't beat the location!! We can also do the cookout right there on Hutchinson Island.

RR is 2.02 miles. Its not super huge. It is fun though. My favorite is turn 3. You can floor it through there. At first you question that because its a fast corner but little by little as you get more comfortable you can just hold on with full throttle.

I did that with a chevy aveo rental though. Hahah. I don't know if just flooring it through there is possible with an Se-R since our cars better accelerators then an auto chevy aveo.
