2009 SE-R Convention March 27-29
We were finally able to confirm our track day at Roebling Road in Savannah, Georgia this week. It will be March 27th. I have been working with the RR staff since April trying to secure a date. SCCA, NASA, and the motorcycle races get first choice of dates, and then all the clubs/race teams that book every year get next choice. They are already booked for almost every other weekend in the first half of the year. The only available dates for next year were Mother's day weekend and there was no way we would plan a convention for that weekend, the last Friday in June, and a few Fridays in July. Expected daily temperatures definitely were a deciding factor in the date we picked.
We are still 7 months out, but rest assured that planning has begun. Our goal is to have everything set and registration open once Vegas is done, somewhere around mid November.
A good turnout this year will go a long way towards helping the cause for next year, so please do whatever you can to make it to Vegas for this year's convention.
