3rd tps unit...not a charm..im stumped
K..here is another thing that has me stumped..I read the whole thing on the tps sensor on sr20forum so i know im not doing nothing wrong.OK 1st tps i set it at .45 closed but open 4.5v on the forum it says that its bad and anything over 4.05 open is bad..changed it 2nd used tps but this one was a different i couldnt set anything over .50v closed and open it went to 4.3v.
since I saw it was "bad" as well, I bought a new tps sensor.
Before i installed the new sensor i checked the voltage going to the sensor which was 5V which was good..
ok I set the sensor to .45 closed BUT i still can't get it passed .50v since its all the way adjusted..now open is 4.3v on the new sensor..
This is what is concerning me is that i read if the tps shows voltage more the 4.05 the ecu will pull timing and act weird..So being that siad i check the Voltage while i was pressing the gas pedal inside the car and its .47 closed and 4.3v open..then i notice behind the pedal it appears that there was maybe 2 screws or bracket that won't allow the pedel to fully hit the floor(1991 sentra se-r)so that instead of show 4.3v the brackets will hold it back so while flooring the tps won't go beyond 4v or higher...does this make any sense?
I just don't want to lose any power when i floor it and if im .75 away from flooring it ..ill make more power since it would be at 4v instead of 4.3open.
My u13 is not bogging only when its cold but not alot very slight..and normal operating temps it picks up like butter....any ideas on this?
