NX vs SE-R (B13) master cylinder
Does anyone know of any visual cues to set an NX master cylinder apart from an SE-R mc? I pulled one from an NX this weekend after braking issues lead me to believe that my car got the NX caliper upgrade and not the mc.

I can see no differences between the two.

Any help appreciated.

I also can't see the diff. between the 2. I bought a set of AD22's with the NX mc and it looks exactly the same.

They are the same its just the proportioning valves that are different.

So the bore is the same? I thought they had different bore markings on the side? I will go check in the garage in a bit to be sure.

Yeah bore is the same. 7/8ths. I know Gti-R's use a 15/16 master cylinder but they are also using the big rear brakes. I'm guessing all other B13/N14's with the big rear brakes are also using a 15/16 master cylinder.

everything on the two is the same, markings-wise. 7/8 on the pass side rear and BM38 on the driver side rear

I was just super confused because I figured that the two would have some sort of different marks...

I also used Napa's ProLink web site to see what a remanufactured one looks like and they look the same on there too.. argh

I think its the Altima MC that's different. I thought the NX MC was different though.

It has to be in some way different to accommodate for the larger front brakes. I've also heard that its also the same as the euro NX mc that has the larger rear brakes (my next upgrade)

^^Proportioning valves are different. Makes the Brake Bias different for the AD22's as compared to the Ad18 front setup. Euro NX master cylinder most likely has different bias rates then the USDM NX master cylinder. Since the Euro and JDM cars have big fronts and big rears.
