I am in, about how much are we talking about? In a month or so my car will be in for the winter so i could do it then.

I would have agreed to this until a couple of days ago. I have been messing with my clutch for a while now and figured out what it was. The disengage point use to shift as it started to warm up, then i noticed that the bolt was loose that was holding the reference shifter linkage to the bushing. After i got that fixed it doesnt do it anymore. I also have the sway bar bushing and shifter bushings that i think helped out a lot.

Also my clutch has been acting weird. If i adjust it to where it disengages close to the top it only has a window to where it works. If i press the pedal in further it will not want to go into gear. So i adjusted it so it disengages a little further down and now it will not want to go into gear at higher RPM's, say anything over 6-7K. It did not do this before, so i am wondering if the syncro's are going, or the clutch is not working right, or the cable, or something else.

I would definately buy one. I recently broke a clutch arm lever and I don't want to pull the tranny again for a 27 dollar part.

Are we talking about using the brackets just on P11/B15 trannies, or B13/14 trannies as well? I'm interested.

as far as the question goes, there is only one thing that I can see causing the problem with adjustment. That is the pp design. I have seen a few brands do it and others don't ever have a problem. I don't think it is a clutch cable problem, but rather a problem with the pp being used. Everyone I know using the ACT hd has had problems with adjustment. I have never had a problem with my clutch specialties or jwt. they were both used with the stock cable.

My JWT was the worst pressure plate I've ever had. I didn't have any adjustability from the get go. My ACT is a completely different story. I have TONS.

This is the same problem my friend had with his JWT too. I talked to him about it and his pp looks diff than mine. Mine had small diaphram fingers on it while his were the big ones. Could that be an issue???

You guys are trying to find an answer to an issue that is not a constant. Any clutch kit can give this problem.

It has to do with the placement of the diaphram fingers and clutch bearings.

You can get 20 diffrent clutch bearings and put them on a table and you will find that 10 of them will have diffrent heights.

The same with the diaphram fingers. Some will sit out more than others. The further they sit in towards the disc the less adjustment you will have.

The fix is to have a bracket with more adjustability. Just like the one I made. When I make them I can make them from 1/4 inch to 1 inch xtra adjust ability.

Plus you get the xtra stability from the bar thats stops the bracket fro mleaning back.
