No, if the GTi-R bearing doesn't fit into the DE/DET rod cap, it's not going to fit into the DE/DET rod either (there are alignment tangs on both halves of the bearings). And Running a DE/DET rod with a GTi-R rod cap (or the other way around) is not an option, as they are different thicknesses. They might bolt up, but it would be a terrible idea and if you did it you'd see why immediately. =]

Here is the pics of the cometic. It looks like a nice piece, just the alignment dowels on the gasket are a little loose. Hope the pics help.





The stock gasket fits snug on these dowels, but the cometic is just a little loose. I dont' think it is a big deal, I have had zero issues.


Notice the right lower edge of the GTiR bearing and then the same edge on the DE? Are the tangs actually in the same spot then, with the width added to the outside of the tang?

Hmm, kinda late to the game here wasn't I?
