Clutch pedal toughness
I just installed a new clutch and PP(exedy) about 500 miles back and when I was putting it back together I noticed the the cable stretched over the years because I couldnt get the cable to tighten up. Searched the forum and found prettywhite's little copper reducer mod and worked like a charm.....till a few days ago.

I was heading home from work last week and the clutch pedal got stiff as hell. Its a pain in the ass the pushing the clutch down, kinda like if I had a ACT Extreme PP or something. Is it the cable thats giving me the problem? I try adjusting the nut and kinda feel better but not a whole better. I just want a easy to push clutch pedal.

thanks.

How well did you lubricate the throw out bearing? That is most likely problem...

Get a new oem cable asap. Some people will pop cable after cable. Even people who know their isht.

I am lucky and my set-up is pretty light and smooth. It doesn't pop or overly stretch cables.

It could be a messed up or inorrectly installed TOB. I have popped the clips off before myself. Does it make noise at idle in neutral?

There's a thread somewhere about using motorcycle chain lube. I never had to resort to that myself. You definitely should have put some stuff on the tob. Get the OEM cable but only one. If you start snapping cables buy whatever is cheap and always keep one on hand.
