Thread: Driver seatbelt replacement

My [black] driver side seatbelt in my 98 Nissan is getting more and more frayed.
Because of that it won't roll back anymore.
I'm looking for a new or used replacement but cannot find anywhere anything for that model year.
Auto parts store, Napa, parts geek, eBay etc. I also checked N??san Parts Deal.
Everything but that.

Anyone knows where I can find one or if such a belt from another model/year would fit?

I've always heard safety items like that will be replaced by the dealership free of charge. Have you tried a local dealership?

Are you ever going to reply, or are you just a spammer?

Have you tried lubricating the seat belts with a bar of soap? I hear that helps them retract like new again.
You can also disassemble them and re-clock them to get more spring pressure.

Or have you tired @GregV at G Spec Performance ?

I'm sorry @dorcom, we have an enormous amount of spammers posting here and 99% of them get perma-banned immediately on sight.
Sometimes they are creative, and avoid detection for a bit.
I was simply trying to see if you were one of the creative ones or not. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and did not ban you immediately. The contents of your first post, and then no reply, are quite like most spammers.

@dorcom We've had to replace seatbelts twice on 2 different cars and unfortunately, in both cases the Nissan dealership was no help because parts are no longer available.

What we've done in both cases is find better ones in junkyards to use instead (so used but not as used as what we had essentially).

We may need a seatbelt replacement for the Sentra SE-R. The driver's seatbelt sometimes not rolling back. No luck finding them in the local parts yard. The new set of tires from 4Wheelonline is on the way and we'll address the interior next. We'll check that link.
