Short shifter question
I purchased a short shifter from fidanza performance.
How hard and what steps should I take to install this short shifter.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any idea or is a expert on this.

Thank you

Check the "Manual Transmission Shift Linkage" section of The Manifesto linked in the header above.

The basic idea is to get the shift boot out of the way (pull the plastic trim toward the back of the car and pull up at the front).
Then you can see the mechanism from the top to get oriented. I think next is to get under the car and remove the catalytic converter heat shield (if still there) and maybe drop the exhaust a little for access.
You'll see the nuts you need to remove from the bottom, and how to disconnect the shift linkage.

Again, check the relevant threads in The Manifesto for pictures of what it looks like around there so you'll be familiar.

I also have pictures of dealing with this section of the car in my build thread linked in my signature.

Removing the OEM shift knob, if you have to, can be tough if it is on there really tightly. It screws off, but many in the past have had to hold it in a vise or similar to remove it.
You shouldn't have to remove it if you have a new one to go on your Fidanza unit.
