Thread: Buying a new oxygen sensor

My new bought NTK oxygen sensor died on me within 20 thousand miles. Not so willing any longer to spend about $ 100 and shipping, I found an alternative. Since it is universal it has to be soldered but that is okay.

It is only $30 but what kind of oxygen sensor a Nx2000 has? Platinum if I remember correctly?

This sensor is zirconium. I learned that zirconium oxygen sensors will not reach 1 Volt.

Been using NTK (think NGK spark plugs) branded O2 sensors for over a decade in various SR20s.

Ah yes, I still like NGK for quality but not willing to spend a little over 100 euro for the same sensor. But I can find NTK oxygen sensors for as low as $40, new but from ebay with shipping. However I had to search for a Sentra sensor.

Has this car come with exactly the same SR20DE as Nx2000 maybe? Source is Nissan 4u, http://nissan4u.com/parts/sentra/us_b13/1992_10/type_49/
