Also, the old forum has a full thread on all wheel driving a Nx. With the Nx and Sentra sharing the same frame rails, all that information implies here, I couldn’t tell you how many times I read that thread and over engineered designs in my head before I went after it on almost every instance, as a construction superintendent I have a good idea of load force and weight/tension transfer. All of which I also recommend to rake into consideration, but then again, I did all this myself so Idk experience your local shop has, possibly something to put into their ear.

Gotcha! Thank you for the insight.

The shop is very experienced. I use MA-Motorsports for my SE-R needs. The shop is known for their heavy modifications and fabrication on some championship Formula D cars. I got lucky finding them and it couldn't have been more perfect, since they're not that far of a drive from my place. I happen to stumble on them on my frantic need of trying to get a shop to take my car in to complete the GTiR swap. The shop that previously had the car didn't want to do the swap for me. I'm guessing that it was a crap ton of work being that the car didn't just need a swap and thought I may not pay for it, but the official story is that they were downsizing or something ¯\_(?)_/¯.

If you check out MA-Motorsports FB or IG, you can see some of their amazing work. I vouch for their work. Here is some of the work they have done for me.

Like I mentioned before, this isn't all they did. The car was in worse shape and they took care of some things that you cant really see. Maybe one day I'll list it or just post up the receipt with all the stuff they had done.

Also just something else to consider. We have access to JDM Awd Versions of The B14, B13, and 1993-1997 Altima ( Called the SSS Bluebird)

I know the Steering Rack and it's mounting position is slightly different at some some of these.. Just something else to think about especially since you'll be using the Gti-R transmission with it's huge transfer Case. In my experience ( having owned an AWD U13 Bluebird - AKA Altima) One of the major differences between the AWD and Nion AWD versions is that the AWD doesn't have a Sub frame. The cradles mount directly on to reinforced portions of the actual Chassis. I imagine to make room for the Transfer Case etc. to fit "up inside" the space. I don't expect that to be what you will do . But I'm just saying don't underestimate ho much room may be needed in the front half of the car.

Now that I'm thinking about it the AWD versions of the cars I speak of have a chassis setup in front ( cradle mounting ) somewhat similar to that of the B12 Sentra. ( No sub-frame) . I hope this at least helps in some way

Cheers

Shawn B - Currently the idea is to have this thing AWD and put it in the low 300hp range. Not a ton of HP for some people, but I think it may be the safest bet for me in drivability and not breaking stuff on the street constantly. Car currently has a GTiR swap, so the numbers are very easily attainable.

300 sounds perfect to me. Same ballpark as I told Ashton for my Classic. I don't want to be breaking other parts all the damn time. I want to drive it and have it be reliable as possible. A broken car sitting in a shop/garage/driveway is zero fun and life is too short.

Call it 350 at the crank, losing 15% to driveline. You're gonna weigh somewhere around 2,600 pounds or so with the AWD. That puts you at 7.43 lb/hp, and I can compare it to Car & Driver's 2018 Lightning Lap numbers. You're in the same ballpark as a 600 hp BMW M5, and faster than a Cayman GTS, AMG GLC63 or Audi TT RS. Sounds like enough hp to be lots of stupid fun.

This is to noynek, in hopes some have read the original AWD thread, I’d assume majority know this is first big aspect to modify; the subframe for the transfer case. The original b13/NX subframe is double plated steel @ 1/8” thick per sheet. I found center and went 3 1/2” both directions with a 2” recess. I notched it, boxed it back in with 1/8” flat stock steel double plated. Considering this is where majority of the weight on the front car sits, cutting corners wasn’t an option. After I welded both layers together I gusseted the corners with 1:8” steel so I was Dispersing vertical & horizontal load capacity’s. Two subframes and countless measuring, is say mine is perfect and ready to take whatever I throw at it. The original AWD Nx subframe from the thread is basically what I did with a little extra on top. Shoutout to business man, because without his post, I wouldn’t be where I am on the car now

Agree 100%, after I get this car back I want as minimal time possible in the shop. I want to enjoy it in as many scenarios possible, whether it be Street/AutoX/Road Course. Gets me excited just typing and thinking about it.
