So i went to my local pick and pull for some subie parts the other day and came accross a pretty rare sight for up her in canada. A 98 200sx se-r, popped the hood and sure enough sr20 powered. Noticed a couple small things like poly mounts, header, pop charger, then i noticed the trans had cooling fins on it.
thinking it was a p11/b15 trans i got kind of excited and was planning on grabbing it until i noticed it was non lsd. Were the p11/b15 trans the only ones that came with cooling fins on the trans? Is there a spot on the trans that might have the trans code engraved in it that i could reference? Car must have come from the states as the cluster was in mph.
Now i did do abit of research trying to figure out what it came out of when i stumbled accross a motoiq thread where they were using a p11 non-lsd trans as the gears from qg18de gears are the same and easier access for replacements parts,(qg18 are plentyfull up here) they also swapped a nismo diff in. So i'm trying to figure out if it's worth grabbing this thing and possibly doing the same as them sometime down the road. Swap a diff in and have easy access to replacement gears if and when i do strip some, Lol.

Also i got a mint arm rest out of it, I know those are fairly rare. If anyones interested in it pm me, maybe we can work out a deal.
