What I don't get is why there are two discussions about CAIs and A/F ratio, one in this thread and one going on in private. Post it all here so everyone can learn. I'm not an expert on the topic, but I'm not about to believe anyone who says I need this or that without providing some background information as to why.

Jen's setup is similar to my setup, but my compression is 10.1 instead of 9.5 the tune brings the car to more of a balance from add-on of the performance parts. Just like a basic tune up. If you don't have it the car want run as good.

I'm just doing a full bolt-on and ride setup. My reason for tuning is pulling more top end out of the setup. Everything will be going at a faster speed and I want to make sure my tune will be on target with the increase that my motor has. Read some of BenFenner's threads. I usually do a lot of the wrench man work when I work on cars, but I'm becoming more familiar with the tuning side as well.

I want my car game to be on point. If I don't know touch me, if I do know I will share.

If you are planning on getting one of Calum's RTs, then don't get a FPR and gauge. Put the money for a Nismo AFPR towards the RT and be done. No need to raise the fuel pressure across the board, if you can provide fuel at the locations in the map that need it.

So if you are running just the AEM, then install it and be done. Mike also states that a CAI and AFPR makes 10 hp, but I did not see all of the other mods listed to get that (quick glance). So unless you are a full bolt-on car (which was tested), my thoughts are to install the CAI and enjoy it....and if you are a full bolt-on car, then do what Mike did - install it and tune it with a wide band. He didn't didn't just pick 4 psi out of air.

but he also did not dyno it. remember he said it FELT faster meaning he is providing info from the butt dyno not the actuall dyno proof that was never done to my understanding. but you are right mods were not listed

the only thing that i would need to make my car pretty much full bolt ons are a UR set and some thermoblock spacers which i should get soon and if you wanna be picky some S/R would be nice
