My SR20/KA24 Engine Run Stand
Here is a project i have been working on for the past couple months in my garage. I have assembled plenty of SR motors and have always wanted to make something like this. It was made from scratch at home on the very little time i have for myself. The motor on the stand was just assembled and is a SR20VE-T motor for SE-Rawkus's 240sx. This was the first start and crank of the motor. There are still a few things i have to hook up for the gauges, but that will happen soon.

Enjoy.

Pretty dang neat. Much easier to work on stuff on that cart than anything else, even an easy to work on S-chassis, this is even easier. How long did that take you to assemble? And any teething issues that required you to modify further?

I bet the 0-60 on that thing is very quick. lol

It took about 3 months to build. But that wasn't working on it everyday.I made it a way that the mounts can be changed/fabbed up for other motors like a FWD sr20. It runs on a stock and very simplified B13 SE-R wire harness, Avenir DET computer, 370cc injectors and GTI-R maf.

Awesome. Just awesome.

Now you just need a generator, and you could load/tune the engine pre installation

I would love to put a large water pump on it or a water brake. The generator would be nice but would require a load bank to load it with. Also generators like to spin at one speed which wouldnt work so well.
