Car stalls when giving gas from a complete stop.
Hello everyone,

After months of searching and replacing parts on my NX, I have decided to come on here to look for suggestion or similar issues. The issue I am having is that my NX stalls completely when I give it gas from a complete stop. However, when I drive it in cool weather and on the freeway it drives fine. When I slowing give it gas I am able to make it home. But, when the weather is hot outside it stalls every time when I feed it gas. I've been replacing my fuel pump fuse when this happens. No other fuses blows when this occurs.

The car has a jdm DE in it with all new alternator, dizzy, starter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, fuel injector, knock sensor, water pump, fuel pump relay, and new fuel pump. I've also replaced the ECU with two stock ones from g20's and it doesn't solve the issue. I've bought a short and open circuit tester to find any short or open wires and there is not any. I've talk to a mechanic and he said to replace my power supply relay to the ecu or ignition relay's. My key ignition has been acting up lately too, when I turn the key. My key turns without stepping on the clutch.

So to make it clear, my NX is drive-able in cool weather and on freeways with no issues. But, in hot weathers it stalls when I give it gas and I have to keep replacing the fuel pump fuse. I've replaced everything that has to do with the fuel system and other mechanic parts. Any suggestions or experiences are welcome.

Modifications if any? I was going to say check the fuel filter as I had the same problem but looks like you have a new one. What about the gasoline? Did the car sit for a long time?

I'd start by trying to figure out why the fuel pump fuse keeps blowing. Failing ignition switch may be suspect.

No modifications done to the car yet because of the issue. The car sat for 2 months before the motor was replaced with a jdm. After putting the motor in, I was able to drive it to Nevada City and down the coast of California for a few months before the weather picked up here in Central California.

I've read a few post about ignition switch and will be replacing them soon when it comes in. I've ruled out any short wires because I can still drive it around town. Thanks.

What was in the gas tank for that time period, if anything?

I believe whatever is causing the fuel pump fuse to blow over and over is the culprit, or at least a link. Can't believe no one else is chiming in....

What fuel pump was used when it was replaced?
