Interesting, never heard of this strainer. Is it accessible thru the interior when you get at the pump?

Bah! It is my opinion that this is all completely unnecessary unless the new filter clogs in an untimely manner. THAT might indicate an issue in the tank requiring further investigation.

Not unnecessary, stop being an (insert adjective here) about this. I just showed this thread to real, seventy four year Old Man without any preface and he came to the same conclusion, look into the fuel tank. To not look into the fuel tank, you are demonstrating how little fucks are given in regards to your own vehicle.

It is extremely silly to ignore this extremely negative condition. I have removed 1k, 10k, and so far, what I know as to be a 190k fuel filter and none had evil brown coming out of them.

I was going to say "AARP member"... but I had a change of heart and removed it and left that open like a Mad Libs for fun. And along with the fact that another member of the AARP organization is in complete disagreement. But once again, why offend members of AARP?

Aw, Mom is in the hospital but thanks for the inquiry. She should be out by Thursday at the best. Another pinched nerve and aggravated arthritis in the spine sidelined the Ol' Gal for a little, ain't nothing she has not dealt with three times before. Thanks for the concern on the home front, Todd. Really appreciated.

I don't really believe that giving out poor advice counts as an opinion... especially for your good friend, Jordan.

I am sure @zeneffect is wrong, @jimbo_se-r is wrong, @Y2KG20 is wrong, @1fastser is wrong in regards to this situation..... No, just kidding, they are not wrong.

You can save the "further investigation" by using a simply method of preventive maintanance, my school of thought better replace an stupid 5$ filter/strainer than to burn my pump and pay the price of neglected car care + a pump

Whats the purpuse of a brand new oem upgraded magnetic top z32 ff if your strainer is completely clogged as well?
