I'd just like to point out that when we say we've done something on a car we are selling, its done (including fuel filter or whatever) but I guess we are just rare and honest and give too much info when selling a car.. lol

id still do it all even if I bought the car from you and you signed a contract in blood and sacrificed a goat in my honor. There are things that I have to do myself to ensure that its done, and done right regardless of who the car is coming from. Only time I wouldn't do it is if the vehicle carried a warranty, then if it breaks its not my problem to fix and I get compensated.

^ i get that.. My hubby does an oil change immediately when we get a car regardless of if the owner said he just had it done and shows us the receipt, etc.
..I was only trying to point out that not everyone does lie about what is or isn't done.. lol

If and when I get another one, I will add a new fuel filter to my list of week 1 maintenance.

I have to do an oil change on said B14 in a few weeks, going to pull off the new fuel filter and see how it looks. If it's really bad again guess I'll be dropping the tank.

Just pull the pump and look in the tank, please.

My prediction is the tank will be clean and the crud that came out of the filter was just years of build up.

I hope you are right! The previous owner says the car never sat for a long time, was a daily driver
