Here's a good list of items to get you started... Like I said, the first two can often be secured with a deposit as a loan a tool.

Vacuum pump
Amazon.com: Mastercool (90059-R) Silver 1.5 CFM Vacuum Pump: Automotive

Manifold set

Refill can tap

Dye (though one bottle would be more than enough - a little goes a long way and you can buy refill cans with it premixed)
http://www.amazon.com/Tracer-Products-TP3820-0601-Bottled-R134A/dp/B000HTRNFO?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00

Yellow UV Glasses
Uvex S145 Astrospec 3000 Safety Eyewear, Black Frame, Amber Ultra-Dura Hardcoat Lens - Safety Glasses - Amazon.com

UV Flashlight

@Storm88000 If the need arises I have a vacuum pump and access to a manifold gauge set.

No idea, but it works, for now at least. Blows ice cold.. will see how long it lasts.

Be careful. As the ambient temperature rises, so too will the headpressure and the non-condensables (the air) trapped in the system will show their ugly faces.

Absolutely correct! A used condenser is not a good idea either... unless you just enjoy redoing jobs. When I added AC to my NX that didn't come with it, I bought the entire system that "was blowing cold when removed". I bought a new dryer, oring kit, & had the motor rebuilt. The used condenser looked good...I even straightened some fins and pressure washed it from the back. Regardless, my first long trip (to the convention!), the AC failed. Turns out the condenser was not doing its job of removing heat well enough, causing head pressure to rise until it popped the pressure relief valve. A new condenser , new pressure relief valve, and more refrigerant and it's been rocking ever since.

I am having it all vacuumed out at an actual shop Sunday morning just to be safe.

P.S. It was 90 degrees here yesterday and the AC still nice and cold

Has been working fine for 2 1/2 weeks

Also, a new drier is $18.99 at Autozone, cheap enough. Should I get one? Link:

Lines vacuumed out today with the pumps and refilled with fresh refigerant.
Air blowing a lot colder too than it was during the first 2 weeks it was all installed. Took about 45 minutes
