Use a jack to lift the transmission, that should let you line things up.

Yep. SE-RMonkey is awesome. I just think it's a lot easier to do this with 2 people (one slowly jacking up the motor, while one (me) is under the car waiting for things to line up. I still cant believe that damn cross member just broke off. UGH! At least I had a 97 SE-R donor car

So Todd aka @SE-RMonkey came over around 10:30AM this morning (with his beautiful white Pathfinder BTW) and we got it done.

It took us about an hour of trial and error to line up the trans mount to get the bolt through with the donor cross member. It's got to be the biggest pain in the ass of any of the mounts. First I loosely bolted up the member in the rear and then Todd jacked up both the trans and the oil pan (with a wooden block of course). You kinda have to fool around with it to get it to all line up. Jack it up here, lower it here, then jack it up some more here, etc.

Oh and I had an obvious DUH! moment. Words of wisdom for those of you planning on replacing any of the mounts (especially the trans mount) REMOVE THE FRONT STRUT BAR IF YOU HAVE ONE . It of course stops the engine from getting high enough. We couldn't figure out why it wasn't moving anymore and then Todd noticed the bar. All good once removed. At least I know that bar is strong

We drove the car and it runs great. Here is a selfie of Todd & and I right after the job was completed in front of the car.
.

Thanks again Toddy!!

OH WHAT THE FLYING FUCK. I installed a short shifter and I guess it was too much for the POS OEM shifter bushing. Already ordered a new one from Greg @ G-Spec (thanks Greg!)

Here's a pic of me holding it up under the car:

And how it really looks now:

If it's not one thing it's another. Car is drive able but the shifter bangs against the exhaust below a bit. Luckily I have a spare bracket to install the bushing on. UGH! What is it with this week?!

Shifter mount bushing most likely tore when the crossmember broke due to very excessive engine rocking/pulling on the shifter linkage.

Also, I have always hated Place Racing engine mounts after I busted the trans in my NX2000 due to the poly inside the mount coming apart.
