Whare are the symptoms of a bad transmission mount? (AND LESSON LEARNED INSIDE)
LESSON LEARNED, heed my advice: never ever ever let someone else drive your car. That's it, I'm done. I usually don't, but he's one of my best friends for 20 years so I gave in. And it was only down the street to Autozone, about half a mile. He even has owned SE-R's (but with stock clutches).

Anyways the car in question is a '98 SE-R w/ bolt-ons, Fidanza fly wheel, and a Clutchmasters FX500 clutch. He was pulling into traffic in 1st gear and REALLY fucked up with working the clutch and throttle and the whole car shuddered and made a loud bang. Now when I drive it in any gear (especially like 2nd or 3rd) and I let off, then hit the throttle again, the car kind of shudders and even the shifter moves a bit. When I'm rolling in neutral at any speed it rides smooth and normal.

EDIT: Was just under the car, and the mounts all look fine, THIS is what actually happened. I admit it was surely already on it's way out, but him dumping the clutch at 6000RPM and letting off the pedal hard probably was the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak. I baby that car when shifting, always have. Even when driving "spiritedly" take it to redline and shift slow and let off the clutch slow. DAMNIT!

if its making a clacking noise when you are off and on, id inspect the clutch rivets. Mine made that noise before it went... easy way to test is to go hard 1-3rd... don't even clutch 3rd if you can. if you all off a sudden rev in 3rd and don't go anywhere in any gear... your clutch has sheared its rivets. it will make a nice bang noise when it goes.

Clutch was in the car when I bought it. It's setup for turbo, block tapped, Walbro fuel pump etc. I was just asking if anyone had a similar situation or symptoms and it was a bad trans mount.

Another thing I just noticed: I got A LOT of wheel hop going WOT for a moment from a stop in 1st gear. More wheel hop than ever even before.

I tend to try to figure shit out for my self before resorting the to forum..

Jack the car up and look / feel around for anything out of the normal, check motor mounts and lower cntrl arm bolts an ball joints ect.. usually when the clutch rivets go they just go, but try what zen said..

I also hear a weird, almost scraping sound on the passenger side of the car when accelerating slowly in 2nd gear now..

I've never been under a B14, but I'll assume it's similar to a B13 and P10. I'd suspect all engine mounts and oft overlooked cross member bushings.
