It will idle by its own for maybe like 1 min at the most then start to bog down and die, if I rev it or go drive it the second I let off the gas it dies

I would bet money on that running a DE ecu with a DET engine is what's making your idle crap.

Yea I'm kinda leaning towards that as well but I would be running the ecu it came with but I havd to wait for my step down harness to come in
