PCV Valve, right angle?
I've spent several hours tonight trying to find the exact specifications on the PCV valve in the SR20DE, specifically the roller rocker variant, without success. In addition to the overall shape, hose connections, etc, the PCV valve also has a specific pressure rating, and I just can't find anything that lists this. I went so far as to go to Rock Auto's site and pull up the listed valves (BECK/ARNLEY 0450332, AIRTEX / WELLS 6P1139, STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS V383), but none of these listed this spec.

What I need is a similar PCV valve with a right angle connection. I'm putting a low port manifold on the RR engine, and need this right angle connection to give me the right clearance for this hose. Without this my hose would kink, unless I relocate the bracket for the throttle cable, which may ultimately end up being easier...

I found what you're looking for when I built my engine and wanted/needed a right angle pcv for my ve. I don't have the part number but if you go to your local parts store and ask if you can rummage through their line of pcv valves you'll find it for sure.

I'm actually thinking about instead getting an elbow fitting and keeping the stock Nissan part, but this would simplify that a bit. But this could work. I was reading a lot of info this am about 3rd party PCV valves not working as well as OEM on various forums, so I may break down and get the real Toyota part if I go that route.

Now I just need to figure the cleanest way to make the 180 degree bend on the other side of this hose to fit my valve cover...

Oh, while I'm thinking of that, the one spec I found earlier indicated that the SR20 Roller Rocker valve was 5/8 going into the VC, and 3/8 on the other. I measured this one (after finally finding a 5/8 elbow and it was too big!), the actual size is just a shade over 1/2".

Yes, that is correct.

I recently purchased a new grommet and PCV valve for my VE valvecover. I would have wanted to go for the 90 degree version, but it would have been too expensive.

Toyota 12204-20020 PCV: 26,27€
Nissan 11812-41b00 grommet: 21.04€

OR

Noname PCV 17130-P2M-A01 + 11812-41B00 grommet: 28.05€

So yeah, to go 90 degree would be an additional 20€ for me (shipping to Finland is a "#¤%), so I went with the noname PCV.

I used a double male nipple with 2 90*hoses from my stash and it works great. I'm assuming that everyone else is a relatively cheap bastard like me and has bins of saved hoses, clamps, nuts, & bolts. Right?

Wow, that Toyota part is incredibly expensive there, looking at the exchange rate that's $29 US dollars. I just picked this part up from the local Toyota dealer for under $11 with tax, I did find it even cheaper online (even Amazon) but didn't want to wait on the part to arrive.

Every trip to the salvage yard I toss various bits into my tool bag, I thought I had a 90 degree fitting from a recent trip but I couldn't find it, and I need two anyway. So it looks like a trip to the hardware store for this, only because I don't want to wait for the next salvage parts run. I'm so close to installing this engine, I don't want anything else delaying it. LOL
