Thread: S14 VTC Rattle

I have a S14 with VTC rattle but it isn't at idle. It's when you put the car in gear holding the clutch and slightly raising the rpm. In neutral it doesn't do it at all. Any notion to an issue other than it simply being a bad VTC unit? I have a new one I've had for some years sitting in storage but hate to install it if the VTC isn't the issue.
