flamesuit on...but....what about a quart of ATF about 100 miles before the next oil change? or buy some cheap dino oil and run a quart of atf with it and drain it after a few hundred miles
just throwing it out there.
I have never done it to an sr20 due to having pretty clean ones...but thats an oldschool trick that old V8 guys used to clean up sludge.

or seafoam maybe?

One thing that's important is that our engines have very fine tolerances, unlike those old V8s. When you've got sludge and the related large particles breaking loose, you don't want to have that cycling through your engine any longer than necessary. Break it loose, drain it away, and get fresh oil in there.

I've used that myself, I've never poured it into the oil, but I've drizzled it into one of the vacuum lines to clean up the intake and injectors a bit. Lots of white smoke as it burned crap off, but it did help overall for that use. I was tipped off to this when another car wasn't passing emission inspection, cleaned it up, passed fine.

Thanks Guys for the info. I will def be posting another thread here soon just to show what and what has been done and the really live updated when I get the mileages I need haha.

@ jimbo_se-r I'm taking your word to vain cause I know you have good in site as to how do I say, our motors may be great for boost in stock form but I like to call it delicate for the particles. Def didn't think of changing oil filter sooner. I will change it every 500 to be safe when using some kinda of motor flush.

@eggman I have thought of this, especially since I'm almost at the 1k mile oil change.

@SR20NYC I've heard good and bad things about seafoam. My car actually runs fine believe it or not but has issues due to me messing up the injector (that will be getting replaced when weathers good).

I will tag this thread once I start a new thread : one with the details of mileage and changes, type of oils, types of motor flush (if I get the balls lol). This way we get a real time line. Once I move to vegas, I will def be hitting the min. mileage a month of usually drivers haha

Wow, I totally missed your oil change interval in your first post. I'm assuming you were doing such frequent changes because of the sludge? Once you run the flush through, I really think you should be able to extend that interval a bit.

Looks like some of the imported Avenir engines we have seen come in. Guessing from sitting long periods of time and moisture.

its actually supposedly original motor/chassis and had a lot of SITTING time (Only has 126xxx) per PREVIOUS owner. It sucks but we'll see how it goes haha. Should've never left the game in the beginning. Even thought the vq game been fun, these small cars fun even if it's fwd.
