The funny thing is that the PRF1's have gone up in price over the years...

side note - the 711 tires do a decent job of handling, better than you would expect from a cheap tire .
Ask Jackson Diamond (Russ K.) - I let him drive my car for a few sessions @ Pocono.

Once your boosted though, they don't fair so well on track, but for the price they can't be beat for DD usage

i'm currently scouring for the weight of the MB Wheels weapons 15x7, because i know they're light as can be.. i picked all 4 up in the boxes, and it weighed nothing..
people are saying the 17x7s are coming it at just under 17lbs.. so i'd imagine the 15s would be a tad lighter.

edit:

got these from the original mfr. 15X7 4X100 +35 cb: 73.1 wt: 13#

looks like i'm rolling on some 13lb wheels.. not bad considering i got them for 110 each..

MB Wheels Weapons weigh 13 lbs each.

For the one asking about the forged BBS Miata wheels, you will need to bore out the 54.1 mm center hole since the wheel was specific for Mazda. Other Miata wheels to think about:

Polished 7 spokes found on 94 M Edition: 14x6 10.25 lbs.
94-97 7 spokes: 14x6 10.5 lbs.
Enkei made 5 spokes found on 96 M Edition: 15x6 11 lbs.
97 M Edition polished 6 spokes: 15x6 13 lbs.
Early 99 model 5 spokes: 15x6 13 lbs.

I love my Rota Circuit 8's, 15x6.5. I think they are around 11lbs and cost about $120. They are fairly strong, not as strong as the RPF1's, but stronger than the heliums. If I bend one, at $120 it's cheap enough that I'm not going to be hating myself over replacing it. That said, I originally was going to get the RPF1's, but they don't fit over the FastBrakes front brake kit.
Billc! It's great to see you on this forum! In a couple of weeks I'm going to be passing through your area if you want to see the rotas in person.

Tire selection should not be your limiting factor, there plenty of choices in every price range out there to fit both rim widths.

That's why I said IDKFS. I'm no wheel/tire guru. I know I have 205's on my 16x7's. Maybe I was thinking of wider tire profiles when I was typing my reply.

Anyhow, I stand behind what I initially stated. Go boost, and forget about wheel weights

or go boost, and edge out even more people when you do concern your weight.
