There are some areas I am not willing to compromise and if I can find a good deal on a set of shoes for my car that will make it faster on track, you bet I'm on it.

I have been debating a set of Enkeis for at least a year. Right now with my Konig Rewinds and my ATS Complites I don't need another set of wheels.

That being said, I am planning on selling my Konigs.

Try Tire Kingdom or TK Performance. It helps to know someone who manages one to get the best price. I used to work there and that's where I found out about these wheels. They're what will be on my Harlequin when she's done. AWESOME price for such light weight. And they have the perfect size and offset for our cars.

Anyone know how much the Watanabes that look like the rewinds weigh in 15x6.5? I always forget their name.

To hell with lightweight wheels. Boost the somomabish, and enjoy!

I don't understand why you guys want to spend money on a 6.5" wheel when a 7" wheel is the same price or a few dollars more, but whatever.

Maybe because it's easier to find a tire to fit? IDKFS, but I thought that was the case?

Are you serious?

A 195/50/15 fits just as easy on 7" rim. A 205/50/15 fits on both easily as well.

Tire selection should not be your limiting factor, there plenty of choices in every price range out there to fit both rim widths.

15x7 Enkei RPF1 -- 9.9 pounds at Tire Rack $199 each (ouch!)

I bought the 15x7 RPF1s used for like $150ea shipped, IIRC, 3 years ago.
I had OEM B13 SE-R wheels (66.8lb) and BFG comp t/a HR4 185/60-14 (72.0lb).
RPF1s are expensive, so I made up for it - put $39 Kuhmo 711 195/60-15s (67.0lb) on the RPF1s (39.6 lb).
Total weight reduction of 32.2 lbs, or 8.05 lb. per corner.
This is a very noticeable difference.

Side note - the 711 tires do a decent job of handling, better than you would expect from a cheap tire .
Ask Jackson Diamond (Russ K.) - I let him drive my car for a few sessions @ Pocono.

I just swapped from the RPF1s to my OEM wheels with 185/60-14 Nokian Hakkapeliitta snow tires - big difference.
Obviously handling is way different on snow tires, but it also feels significantly slower accelerating.
