wheel/rim weights
this up coming summer im putting my car on a diet and one of the things im doing is copying the lightweight masters and getting some 93ish mazda miata wheels, peticularly the 32 spoke 14 inch bbs rims.

though personnally i would like to know some other options incase i cant find any by the time i wanna go to the track

so heres a few i know

14 inch tall 6 inch wide 93 miata wheels 9lbs

14 inch stock b13 wheels 16.7lbs

13 inch stock steel b13 rims 12lbs

now its time for you guys to add what you know.

I am going through this same research now. If I use a wheel that weighs less than 10 pounds I can reduce the weight at each corned at least 7 pounds (20%), and 28 pounds of rotating mass total. Installing a Fidanza flywheel reduces rotating mass about 9 pounds, so using light wheels should make a real difference. But you have to select your wheels carefully -- it's easy to buy a 13 pound 15 inch wheel, throw on some 205s, and end up not really saving any weight.

Anyone who has 10 pound wheels have driving impressions?

Here are the prime suspects that I'm looking at:

14x6 Kosei K1 TS -- 9.3 pounds at Tire Rack $104 each
14x6 Kosei K3 -- 10.6 pounds at Tire Rack $105 each
15x7 Enkei RPF1 -- 9.9 pounds at Tire Rack $199 each (ouch!)

Since I will be buying new tires also, I am also be considering the weight of the tire when making my selection -- looking for a good performing tire that is also light. There is a 1 to 2 pound savings (or loss) per corner to be had here also.

Do those Miata wheels have the right hub diameter for an SE-R?

Ouch?

That is an OUTSTANDING price for a really good/lightweight wheel that looks good too!

Can you recommend a good source for these wheels?

Yeah, you know us SE-R guys are cheap. I could probably convince myself to pay $800 for the right wheels, but I'd rather pay less.
