Still having tps problems
You may have seen my other posts about idle issues and hesitation. I fixed all those and the cars great. Good power good idle 26mpg. But thats with the tps unplugged. Once its plugged in it idles fine but its undriveable above about 5mph. It bucks and lurches so hard. I have never experienced something so violent. If i turn the car off unplug the tps and start up it will drive just as perfect as before.

Tps checks out fine

Resistance also is within spec. Btw this tps came from a running 92 ser highport.

Who the hell said your TPS was fine?

Closed TPS voltage should be .45-.50V
WOT TPS voltage should be 5V

Check resistance on TPS ground circuit.

Must be an open in circuit between closed and open some where? Does it throw a tps code after driving it plugged in?

Im not getting a cel.

If there is a way to pull it let me know. Same with checking ground resistance. Tell me how and i will get it done

you need to do a slow sweep of the throttle while logging voltage on a graph using some sort of software (Nissan Data Scan). look for any massive dips/spikes. check resistance on the ground circuit pin to the chassis of the car with the battery disconnected.

If this is correct, then you also have an issue with the high end. You're only showing 4V at WOT.

To check the ground you can probe the ground pin on the TPS plug and probe the negative battery terminal. There should be almost zero resistance, and almost zero voltage.

Battery is in the trunk so i cant do a direct to battery ground check. I do have a few solid bare metal grounds in the bay i can use.

Damn why did i think it was 4v WOT. I reset it numerous times and always aimed for 4v. Im gonna check grounds and then see if i can get 5v wot.
