I use strictly distilled water up until it becomes consistently below 50F, at which point I switch to a 50/50 coolant/distilled water mixture.

Never personally tried out water wetter as distilled water has also aided in dropping my temps several degrees from using true coolant.

I concur with what Ben said. The SR20 holds no apparent preference for any one type of coolant.

Right, ok....some things to try then for sure

So been having a casual look into the cost of forged pistons, rods etc, from what I can see I am looking at around £1500 for those, any forged parts which are much better than others ? and should we be looking at forged crank and shells and all that stuff or ?

The other option is for around £2.5k a fresh rebuilt forged 2.2 stroker ? anybody got any experience with those ? worth consideration ?

Again, don't have a massive wallet hence want to make sure every penny I spend I spend wisely, and that it adds not only some power but as much reliability as possible.

Our cranks are forged from the factory, and very strong. The only reason to replace one is if you're stroking. I'll let others chime in on their experience with the stroker cranks. Almost all who stroke are N/A builds.
