Thread: Anyone tried or using this Fuel pressure regulator

Anyone ever tried one of these?..
Just stumbled across this and it looks interesting. I know its a cheap part,yadayada...but its billet aluminum so if it works properly its probably good quality to last.
We all know Nismo FPR are delicate and overpriced.
What are you guys feelings on this part? I am thinking of trying one out on my VE

Without exploded view with actual parts used its difficult to gauge the quality of this product. Looks cool, but also looks too "easy" to manipulate fuel pressure at the same time. Some jackass may give it a twist during an alignment or something

yeah I am thinking the diaphram or whatever that can be rebuilt would be the only suspect part.
Theres a set screw there to stop accidental rotation of the adjustment knob.
I tend to watch my car like a fucking hawk for the RARE times anyone works on my car....so yeah haha

It'd be a nice part if they worked for fuel injected vehicles.
Pressure ranges from 2-14 PSI ONLY; this is for carburated vehicles.

Unless I'm reading the specs wrong it looks like there is no vacuum reference port.(although there may be one in the picture) It also talks about carburetors with fuel pressure exceeding 8 psi. So is this designed for fuel injected engines engines? How many psi/bar will it flow?

The Nissan OEM FPRs are linear rate or what is usually called rising rate, DE, DET, VE all work the same. I'm not sure of the exact numbers but I think at idle they are 36 psi and increase to 46 psi based on manifold pressure on NA engines.(turbo's are 1 to 1 ratio of boost /fuel pressure after 46 psi) If there is no vacuum port on this regulator how does the fuel pressure change? Is this a rising rate regulator?

I like low cost myself but there are to many unanswered questions in this case.

Just curious, what are the specs on the fuel pump you are gong to be running?

To me fuel delivery is one thing you want do not want to skimp on. I forget exactly but my Aeromotive FPR was not insanely expensive ($120ish) but I know it is rebuildable and from a reliable source.
