Maybe they would have had something to brag about instead of being shamed about at Lemans this year if they did... DOH!

K-swapped in Intregra's are no joke.. had one pull on me in my B13 VE w/ like, every bolt- but he had every bolt-on too. It was close. The top end is just insane in the K motors, and I think going up a hill I would have won

Yep, yet another moment of silence for Nissan USA for deciding to do the things they do, like why put basically the same motor in the Altima as the 240SX? No one will ever know..

^ heck, lets start with why put a truck engine into a 240sx?

Nissan would have been in a whole different ballgame if they had used the VE as the mid grade engine and then a VET in the performance line. The possibilities would have been
endless. Oh well, no changing the past..... The QR FanBags will still continue to think they have something great. Ummm not really.

I looked into that and the thing that scared me was how low the oil pan sat to the ground..maybe it shouldn't have scared me away, but I want to drive the car on the street as well as the track and I was afraid I'd catch a bump in the road I didn't see and put a hole in the oil pan leaving me stranded. For a track-only car that maybe sees weekends on the street I'd definitely consider it. Not too much more costly than a 2zz build, but it is more challenging, but there's a lot of swap parts available today than in the past for k series in an MRS.

The k motors are a lot taller than the 2zz. In fact, from reading about other K swaps into Miatas and other Honda vehicles, the ground clearance is a problem with almost all platforms it seems.

btw, I'm deep into my 2zz swap. The 1zz is out of the car, the wiring is done, the 6 speed, new clutch/flywheel are all bolted to the 2zz.I just basically gotta finish up a few loose ends and put it in. Hopefully I'll have it done by the end of next weekend (pretty busy this weekend and week).

My plan is to turbo the car sometime within a year on the stock block and see how long it holds around 300whp and then maybe build a 2zz if it blows. Plans change though

I hope so! Kinda the crazy ass thing is..I bought this car with a bad engine so I never really have 'driven' an MR2 Spyder before. The damn thing died 260 miles into my trip back to KC and when I started drving it from St louis the car lacked serious power the entire trip. Hell, I never sat in one previous to buying it. So I'll pretty much get a fresh take on the MR2 only with the 2zz as I have no experience w/the 1zz lol. Also, this car pretty much went from the previous owner to a garage to get the 2zz swap. Pretty crazy idea I had/have.
