Thread: 94 G20t Transmisdion repairs

Ok, Monday I am dropping the transmission out of the G20. The car will not stay in fifth gear. I have an additional five speed out of a 91 G20. I'm hoping the synchronizers are interchangeable. While I have the transmission out are there any modifications that anyone would recommend that I make to the transmission? Also I think I will go ahead and upgrade the clutch. What would anyone recommend for an upgraded clutch? The car is not being raced. Just a good daily driver with a bit more performance. I am looking at adding a turbo. Any recommendations?

you can flip the synchro, that's what I did on my trans

I was taking a look at the fifth gear kit offered by courtesy Nissan. Holy crap. Do I really need all that?
