Broke my axle last night DOH! (Pics)
Car is a 98 SE-R, breather mods, stock suspension. I was pulling into a do it yourself car-wash yesterday when an a$$hat Ricer came flying around me and I swerved; my driver's side front wheel/tire smashed right into a concrete partition at about 8-10MPH. Got out to see the rim was scuffed and the tire was flat. Not being in the mood to wash the car anymore, I just put on the spare tire expecting to go home and curse myself and maybe find the little punk.

But here's the thing, at first it drove semi- normal like it needed a REALLY bad alignment, and then after awhile I had to rev it really high to get anywhere. Like at a stop sign it barely moved 2-4MPH and other drivers behind me were honking. I finally found a road where I could coast and got home (as the car wash was only about 2 miles from my house.) I suppose it was hanging on for dear life

Just this morning I went out to start it again. Motor starts up fine, idles fine, but you go no where. MORE BS to have to deal with as usual.

It's funny to think that this: (the way my tire looked a moment after sliding into the concrete divider because of knuckle-heads zipping around) to this:

When it warms up a bit today, don't feel like showing my face in dirty and snow

Ok, you don't want to look...

How are we, the forum base, supposed to know if you broke an axle when you hit the curb or not? None of us were there. It could have happened, it could have bent the lower control arm to and the car tracks so horribly it is causing this.

Rule of thumb...never swerve, get hit.

I always get out of the way, with my luck it would be some uninsured punk that doesn't own anything. Try getting blood out of a turnip... Been there and done that.
