How can I install an SE-R MAF on a 2001 G20?
Here is the deal, I'm helping out my boy with his 2001 G20t (RR engine), he has gone thru 2 of those stupid MAFs, and we are already sick of them, so I said F*ck it, lets install an SE-R MAF in there, they might be ugly and restrictive as hell, but they are good and dont get damage like that at least.

Ok, so we all know the SE-R maf has 3 lines (5v, 12v, and ground), and the 2001+ G20 has 4 lines, I already identified the blue as the 0-5V signal, the white one as a 12v, and I guessed the other 2 were grounds. I confirmed one of them was a ground but the other one is getting 5.2v??? what is it then??

I connected the SE-R MAF in there using just the 3 wires i identified and leaving that 4th wire alone, but the SE-R MAF is sending to the emanage 5 volts. Whats wrong..?

I don't believe you can do that. (wire a non-RR MAF on a P11/B15)

Any idea why?

I mean, if RR guys want to boost, they cant put lets say a Z32 MAF if the car has an emanage or SAFC? they have to stay with the RR crappy MAF?

Is it any better than the G20 RR MAF? If it is we will just get that. I just dont want to put in there anther RR MAF, those get damaged like nothing.
