I would still replace the cracked terminal connectors. The OEM connectors aren't made to last forever. Replace it...done!

This was way overthinked.

One of these would easily solved it, from the car-audio part of any store.


I used a terminal block like that one when I relocated my battery to the trunk. I hate the OEM fusible-link thingy with a passion

Sounds like the terminal is still cracked and not making a good connection if you have to wiggle it...
