manual conversion problems
So I converted my 1996 200sx se-r from auto to manual. In using the factory auto wire harness. The car runs good however I can't get rid of the code in the ecu for po335 crank sensor. Since the auto harness is different I ran what I believe is the crank sensor connector extended to the front of the manual tranny. With it connected there's no check engine light but the code reader still picks up the code. I put a new sensor on it and no change. Any ideas?

There are two different sensors for the auto and manual. If you installed a manual sensor, I would look at your wiring.

The auto sensor is too long to fit a manual bellhouse. If you tried 2 different manual sensors already I would check wiring or maybe your flywheel starter teeth are wrong. There is a 108t and 109t flywheel for SR20 (Guessing I haven't messed with a 5spd flywheel but remember reading about it)

Ok, so probably the wiring. I put a 108 tooth flywheel in so that's cool. The sensor I got was for a manual. So I guess it has to be something with the wiring but not sure what it could be. It looks alright. I'll look at it again. Thank you guys for the help.

If you know someone with a snap-on solus or a similar computer, get them to hook it up and see if the crank sensor is pulsing.

Sadly I don't. That would be cool though

Did you replace the ECU with one from a manual car?

Yea I had tried both ecu's. Figured out the problem though. I was using a p10 g20 non lsd tranny that I drilled and tapped for the sensor. I pulled the tranny back off to look at the alignment and compare it to a b14 trans I just got. Well the alignment was slightly angled so the sensor couldn't read the flywheel teeth. So if anyone else drills for this sensor be sure its going perfectly in line with the teeth. Thank you all for your ideas and help!
