Its either gettin too much fuel or not enough spark.. did you double check the ecu plug to make sure its tight??

And why is the rad fan still on? When in limp mode the ecu resorts to using 4 chimpanzees with buckets to dump fuel in

Hmm maybe that's why then I replaced the coolant temp sensor but it still comes on when i start it up

The check engine light is on too right?

Did u use the coolant sensor from your old motor?

when i start it up its on one cylinder with no check engine light but my ecu light is on yea I used the one off my old motor

Make sure the fuel lines are hooked to the right spot

Make sure you didnt mix up any of the wiring..

Im lost for ideas man you may consider having a mechanic look at it.

There's a connection near the tranny side of the engine underneath the external coil or close to it. If you connect it upside down the fans will stay on constantly and the engine will run like shit. Very easy to connect the wrong way . Check your FSM wiring diagram for your coolant temp sensor. And make sure the sensor is the USDM one and not the JDM one

I've never seen that happen but I know what one your talkin about.. would be neat if that fixes his problem

I will look into that tomorrow and see if I can find it. And my cts is the usdm one. Thanks for the post

Happened to me on my last VE engine install. Drove me nuts for 2 days trying to find it with the FSM wiring diagram & an ohm meter. Found it on a hunch, flipped the connection and problem solved
