Running just a flow stack?
I was thinking of just trying to run my flow stack by its self for sheits and giggles and I was wondering what I should use for a screen?

And or how to attach it? What could I use? I don't want anything to get in to the manifold but I also don't want any thing that's going to be really restrictive.

I thought about this.... for what its worth take this with a grain of salt.

I have seen a lot of turbo guys w/ no maf run open turbo with what looks to be window screeen around the inlet of the turbo. Just bending the ends around the flow stack and clamping it with the 6" clamp that comes with the bpi or something. You could use a thin sheet of black panty hose in front of the screen, stretch it out and clamp that down. From reading around real quick on the net people say that it will abrupt flow, but I don't know.

Meh. Might sound stupid, but its just a thought. Anyone can bash it if they want.

I think if you use the pop charger filter you should be good though.

If the car is a DD I would not take the chance. Pop Chargers work great so I say just use it and avoid the potential mishap.

Thats what I was thinking also guys... But I think when I do the next dyno meet I'm going to run just the stack for the runs.

I've noticed alot of Boriquas running stacks with out filters. Not exactly sure why. Seems kinda risky to me.

You should try it and post up what you got. I lost .23hp and gained .54tq from removing the filter off the popcharger.

i wouldnt want to suck up anything into my motor. thats why cars come with filters from the factory.

think how long your motor will last sucking in dust, sand, leaves etc etc every day that you drive it...

i wouldnt even if it was a 10whp gain wich it most certainly is not.

whatever gains are no were more important that the longevity and health of your motor.
