You guys do have me thinking. 95% of what was done to the car was done almost 6 years ago. The distributor that was in the car was old. I got a remmaned one. 1 of them zapped me when the car was running back then. Unforts i don't remember if it was the one in the car now or the old one. I'm assuming old cause havn't gotten zapped since. But i'll take a look.

We're not saying that it's the dizzy, cap or rotor. Where the dizzy meets the cap their is a rubber seal that decomposes over time. That seal is what your problem likely is.

I drove home through torrential downpours and flooded streets Wednesday, no dist cap seal, no issues. Start simple and rule out the ignition system before getting into hacked wiring. Work smart, not hard. I'm leaning towards a faulty coil and/or ignitor.

Index of /FSM/G20/1995_G20/1995_G20

Go here, the section you want is in the back of the EC section. Shotgunning part is not troubleshooting. Ask and you shall receive.

It is a possibility...it may look fine from the top but...

Spark plug boots?

I had a horrible running issue when it was moist outside and it was a combination of leaky spark plug boots above two cylinders and the cap seal.

^^^^ I've been running for months without that seal, through all kinds of rainy and humid weather and haven't had any issue. ^^^^ $20 says it's not that stupid seal. Forget about it.

And $40 says that seal has fucked up my ignition system twice before.

Stop running the G20 around like that dammit, I thought you wanted me to buy that thing so you can get yer Dodge 4x4 on.

EDIT: If you run without the seal at all, the moisture cannot be trapped in the distributor. But if you are using the seal and there is a leak, the moisture will be trapped inside. That is why it can be a problem and why you have no problem. But you are also letting particle into the distributor area at the same time.

Chances are that stupid seal is fubar'd, but I'm betting against it as the culprit.

I drove a Dodge 4x4 a couple weekends ago.... UGH.

??? I don't know. I'm just waiting for the OP to spray down the wires, dist, coil, etc. with a spray bottle in the dark and report back what he sees. This is textbook shit here.
