Thread: P11 floorpan rust a common issue?

If you remembered last week I found a P10 for an unbelievable price but it had motor issues. I found one today and it is beginning to get floorpan rust under the drivers foot. Is this common for a 99?

Not exactly COMMON, but it also depends where the car is located. North-east or Midwest it's going to happen to some cars.

I'd stay away from that unless you can fix it. It's one thing to have rockers rusting, but holes in the floor of the cabin is f*cked.

P11s unfortunately rust faster than p10s and I've seen an entire p11 floor rotted away from rust (complete with snow inside the cabin from driving in a snowstorm)

You have to be really careful with p11s in the rust belt! (core supports rust away faster, as does everything else including floor boards)

In the Midwest here and see lots of P11 lower core support rust. Also in the front and rear wheel wells. (rear sucks because it comes from the inside out) A 99' P11 we picked up in Kansas had fist sized holes in the floor and the lower core support was completely gone.

I have seen lots of floorpans rust on the P11.

The windshield leaks and water makes its way down and rots them out. Seen that on two so far.

my p11 suffered from this also, huge hole in drivers floor, found out when the jack slipped and fell through the rusted floor, im sure its at some junk yard right now being plucked

i've seen a lot of floor pan rust on a lot of the 90's nissan. even a RNN14.
