I used to have a bunch of sites bookmarked that I found on the old forum, but after upgrading the Mac... damned if I can find them.

So, where do any/most of you buy/find upgrades for your car... specifically, a radiator?

I want to upgrade my stock for a couple of reasons. One, the car is 18 years old and it's still on the stock radiator. Two, I want at least a little more cooling capacity. This is for a '91 SE-R.

I found a couple listed at radiatorexpress.com, but I seem to remember reading that they are of poor build quality. I also found a 2 row available at rockauto, but I'm not really looking to have to buy and install a slim fan set... though the price is pretty darn good.

I really need to stay under $200, and preferably under $150.

Radiators Express does not make radiators. They stock several brands. I personally do not like CSF radiators b/c of leakage issues I had with them. They carry other brands like KOYO and Modine

carpart.com Got a used nx rad for $65 shipped two years ago. Still good.


BTW Modine was bought out and they merged the parts for the rads. They aren't the ones we used to get and quite often they will give you a 1.6l rad. even if you specify NX2K.

Found this... very inexpensive, guess because of the plastic tanks. Not sure I'd want plastic, but hard to fault the price.
