Thread: got alignment , car pulls to the right?(spec pic inside)

just got an alignment done and the car drifts to the right , it was like that before the alignment but before to keep it straight i had to turn the steering wheel to the left , i still have to but with no so much pressure as before . i think he said something about a shim that needs to be put in to correct the issue , anyone had this problem before. btw the inside of both front tires are little worn from driving so long with out getting a proper alignment , could that be why im still pulling to one side?.

just getting my head around the readings. if you drive on the RIGHT HAND SIDE on the road, and the right hand side of the road tapers to the right, then given your castor readings are close and favorable (longer wheelbase on the rhs,slightly.good), the rhs camber SHOULD BE a little bit more negative then the left side, to keep you straight on the road. yours is the opposite,but worse before the alignment was done than now. those camber settings with a rh tapered road should go right for sure. you need to go say 1degree neg to the right side, and 1/2 deg neg on the left. you got camber pins or coilovers? adjust that.

the other weird thing is the lhr positive camber. with the lhr positive and the rhr negative, that MAY want to push the rear end to the left, and you have a slight thrust angle there. both sides should be slightly negative, with a small toe in, or zero toe if you really lucky.

I do have coilovers. My tire pressure is 33 both front. 30.5 both rear

Ok good that's the first one I'd rule out. Any of your wheels bent or damaged?

then go back and ask him to fix it. no excuse for it pulling if he has heaps of adjustment. just ask for 1/4 to 1/2 degree more camber on the right side than the left. only other thing you can do it this. swap the front tyres around (pattern permitting) and see if that makes a difference. let us know.

No damage to the wheels. Will try and swap the wheels around as soon as possible. Though I am known for being a procrastinator haha.

Swap your front tires left to right. If the pull is now to the left it is a tire pull.
Also it may become neutral with the front tires switched.

You also have more caster on the right side. That will cause a right side pull. Although it is not adjustable, I have had a car aligned where the mechanic put a bottle jack between the A-arm and frame and jacked the A-arm until the caster was where he wanted it.
Since you have coil overs, are you sure that the car is level?

Caster causes a pull to the least positive or most negative side.
The caster in the printout is "cross castered" to negate road crown pushing the car to the right.
