Car wont start!... but it runs?!?!
hey just did a swap

sr20ve... b13 wire loom
de maf
de distributor (internal coiled)
ve tps
ve injectors
swapped all other sensors as required
calum ecu set to run it all.

however, I am having a huge problem it wont start when the cars turned over via key in ignition.

interesting thing is that if you prime the head itself (spray gas directly in head through hose conecting intake mani and toppix cover) the car starts right up and runs and revs cleanly

what ive done so far: checked all wiring, fuses and relays, changed fuel pump to new pump, disconnected fuel feed to see if gas runs out line when started and no gas is forth comming... and ive thrown a few tools against the wall

whats wrong with this car?

What do you mean it doesn't start? As in it turns and tries or does nothing?

I think what he means is that it cranks cleanly just doesn't fire without adding gas..

to the OP, you said no gas is coming out of the feed line when the car is started? Can you hear the fuel pump prime? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

i cant hear it prime... ive tried but im not hearing it prime. im using the filter that came with the ve engine, i assume it isnt clogged as when it does start theres no hiccups...

and to clarify i mean no gas is comming out of the feed line when it is cranked, not started.

Oooohhh you don't even have gas up front before it starts??? Did you test the fuel pump before putting it in? If you can't hear it prime it's either got to be bad or there is a wiring issue with it. I don't know why I am so confused as to what the problem is haha.

Check the order of the fuel lines, its VERY common to get them mixed up, the line from the filter go's to the non pressure reg fitting.

put a large screwdriver on the injectors and listen to the handle, the clicks of the injectors should be audible.

umm funny observation my rail has two items that look like regulators... however i just put the one with the fuel filter on the fat line and the skinny line on the return
