Thread: What to replace buzzer with?

You know, the one that sounds annoying as s#it when you leave the lights on!

BWEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUU

It sits behind the cluser, anyone replaced it with something more pleasant sounding? I'd still like to keep the functionality, just don't like the current sound

I've often thought about this. I'd assume any chime/buzzer/siren/fog horn with two-wire power, but it would be nice to hear from someone who's swapped it out for something else...

The plastic ones out of the B14's do not sound bad. It is a yellow plastic box. Otherwise any buzzer that is 12v will work.

I just disabled mine by disconnecting the trigger switch on the driver side door... the beeping gets annoying very fast while working on the car with the doors open... as far as replacing it for something else, I never heard of anyone doing that...

You could possibly make it a visual notification rather than auditory. A 12v strobe light in the drivers floor board maybe?
