Lean condition
Highport SR20DE in my 93.5 P10, 100% stock except for Stillen filtercharger. Stinky exhaust lean smell, white plugs confirm. I can't say that it hesitates but it's definitely not as "eager" as my last '93.5 P10 in the exact same configuration. If anything I'd say there may be slight peaks and valleys in the acceleration which aren't common to the SR20, but if I don't drive it aggressively it isn't noticeable. Still get's mid 20 MPG's with 90% short trips/city driving.

So far...

- New fuel filter
- Cleaned MAF
- Swapped in known good MAF
- Checked timing - dead on +17

... with no change. I assume checking fuel pressure is next up. Any thoughts/tips/advice/guidance?

I would check for a vaccume leak and test the fpr next

Have the injectors cleaned if the fuel pressure checks out ok.

When you run 17+ timing, you need to use high test gas right?? Just a thought.

F#@k high test. Actually I've run all my sr20's (all of which were NA) at +17 on regular and never had an issue. If anything the knock sensor would pick up knock and retard timing which would result in a "more rich" condition.

Early FSMs list 13-17 degrees of timing within spec.

Hells yeah. That has always been the first thing I've done with all my sr20's.
