Need help with starter, probably something simple
Car is a 95 b14 se-r with u12 bluebird swap. The starter was fine a couple of weeks ago, I was having fuel pump issues, which I believe were related to the harness connector at the ecu. Fuel pump is fixed, now the starter won't move. I installed a known good starter yesterday, and nothing.
The relays under the dash are good, I can feel them hitting. Pin 20 (starter signal) on the ecu looks good, the wire is seated properly.

I don't really know what else to look at. Any suggestions?

there is a fuse on the interior for starter signal.

there is also a grey connector near the starter that you may of forgot to connect

The gray connector is the solenoid connector, I believe. Its connected. I'll check the fuse again, but I pulled all the fuses when I was chasing the fuel pump, and they were all good.

So I wired a monetary switch to the solenoid connector and 12v+. Car cranks up and runs, which is nice. It won't idle without giving it gas, so I guess I need to adjust the idle valve. Lots of spitting and backfiring, but at least it starts.
